ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Tablets

The Eee Pad Transformer from ASUS is a tablet based on the ASUS Eee family of computers. It runs on the Android operating system. According to ASUS, the three "Es" in the name stand for easy to learn how to use, easy to work with, and easy to play with.

Which features are included with the ASUS Pad?

The ASUS Pad is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, a GeForce graphics card, and 1 GB of RAM. The 10.1-inch multi-touch display features a 16:10 aspect ratio with a 1280 x 800 resolution. Thanks to in-plane switching technology, the display retains the same quality and color accuracy when it is viewed from extreme angles. The display screen is crafted from a thin designed Gorilla Glass.

This device comes with either 16 GB or 32 GB of internal flash storage, as well as WebStorage and a microSD slot for further storage expansion. It features a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls. Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi, DLNA, and mini-HDMI connections are all included. The ASUS Transformer also features a compass, a GPS receiver, an ambient light sensor, speakers, a microphone jack, and headphone jacks. With an additional battery, the tablet lasts about 16 hours after being fully charged instead of only 9.5 hours without the docking device. When it is docked, the Eee Pad operates more as a hybrid between a tablet and a laptop computer. Battery life will dependent on the number of programs being used and screen brightness.

What are the different versions of the Eee Pad Transformer?

The original model was followed by the Transformer Pad Prime and the Transformer Pad Infinity models. The Transformer Prime processor changed from a dual-core version to a quad-core. This increased the flash storage space up to 64 GB of space. The rear camera increased to 8-megapixel with the capacity of recording video in full HD. The Infinity model has a screen resolution of 1920 x 1200. The Infinity TF701T, uses 2 GB of RAM and it has a resolution of 2560 x 1600.
