It just Grabs You!
1 of 1 found this helpful If you want a book that starts off with a "bang" this is sure it! Fantastic read and intense story you will be at the edge of your seat and wont be able to put this book down! You don't need to read any other of her books to read this one. This was the only Piccoult book I've read and it was fantastic. Looking to read more when I have time!

Beautifully Written & Just Pulls You In!
This book was fantastic! There's crime, mystery, romance, violence and romantic tension. The entire book comes full circle and then some with unexpected twists and turns. The book is written very well. The first chapter is like a trailer for the rest of the book. It reveals a situation you are not quite sure what to make of. You read on and on at the edge of your seat waiting to find out what's going to happen and you wont believe it when it does! It's fantastic, the description technique the author uses is phenomenal and paints a perfect picture of each character and emotion in each scene. It really has you stepping into the lives of these characters. It's very sweet and romantic and makes you smile at times. It's so hard to explain the myriad of emotions that are in this book. Sometimes I found myself at work thinking "oh man I cant wait until the train ride home so I can find out what's going to happen" ..lol I'm definitely going to pick up more books from this author. This book is a definite must read!

Very Nice Yet Rough & Incomplete
These have some very nice rough sketches from Chuck Jones. Being a professional animator myself though, I found some cons along with the pros.
Pros: If you enjoy Chuck Jones and animation drawings, this book is fantastic. Every page has a unique drawing from the man himself. The story is clever in that Loony Tunes kind of way, yet still educational for children.
Cons: As I mentioned prevously, by being a professional animator, I can sort of see past the book and into the process on how it was done. To me, the book felt rushed and incomplete. Sort of seemed like he was thinking, "Since the deadline is short and pay is small, I'll do a few quick colored drawings and just quickly sketch the rest and alternate them" Most sketches have no color and are just pencil lines. Even the colored images are VERY rough. It feels very rushed. These sketches were probably completed in 1-2 days by Mr. Jones.
But, overall, the drawings are nice and it's almost like having a piece of Chuck Jone's Sketchbook on your bookshelf. I do recommend this but just don't pay too much for it. Original retail is around $9, and I wouldn't go over that price.
