Such a Treat

This is a little known volume (at least in the US) of Rien Poortvliet's wonderful work. There is an English version called "Dutch Treat", but it's about 25% shorter than the original Dutch edition, (with many incredible pieces of art omitted). The content of this book is most similar to his works "The Farm Book" and "In My Grandfather's House". The illustrations are like a diary of the author's daily life, as well as his memories of growing up during WWII, and lots of general Dutch culture. If you are a collector of Poortvliet's work, this is a must-have.
