AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-core 16-thread Desktop Processor - 8 cores And 16 threads

In the words of Forrest Gump "I like it alot."
Great performing CPU, and can boost well past it's advertised spec with a decent cooler. Getting 4975MHz single core performance, with 4750MHz all core. Great for streaming and gaming, multi-threaded workloads, with the occasional video editing. It's a great all around performer, and well worth the upgrade over my R7 2700. I will say, it does get hot, and needs proper cooling to get the most out of this chip.

MSI Meg X570 Unify Motherboard
Jan 22, 2022
Great Motherboard crippled by driver issues
Pros: Great RAM OC potential, and was able to OC my RAM 400MHz higher on this board, than my previous B450 Tomahawk MAX. 3 M.2 slots all at Gen 4 speeds is really nice. Great VRM cooling with more stable OC potential. With my 5800X OC'd the same between my X570 and B450, the X570 VRM temps were 44C, compared to the B450 at 62C, and with two 8 pin power plugs to the CPU guarantee you'll get all the power you need/want to the CPU Cons: Getting the audio and BT drivers working correctly on this board has been a nightmare, and is a known issue, only wish I would have known about it before hand. lol I eventually solved my mic issue with a USB audio driver extension, and BT, well it picks up everything except my controllers, which is the only thing I care to connect BT wise, so I just plug it in USB, which ok, but it sucks. Have a few other work arounds I haven't tried yet that I've found online, but I'm not holding my breath. Overall, it is an awesome board, and does everything I need it to, minus a few caveats. Would recommend if you get it at a good price. Same goes for the X570 ACE, which is pretty much the same board as the Unify, just with RGB. Didn't list no RGB as a pro or con, cause it honestly comes down to preference, but it should be known I guess that the Unify doesn't have RGB.
