1 of 1 found this helpful I was looking for a single, portable humidifier that could handle a whole house with forced hot air heat. In my south eastern, coastal climate, need to add humidity is limited to several months of the year and then only sporadically so I wasn't interested in investing significant dollars. Previously, we were using a small, single room unit in the master bedroom only. Additionally, after living in the north east for many years, I was not interested in having to change filters or adding chemicals to a humidifier.
This Bionaire unit has performed up to all my expectations. I used it for over a month. During one recent, record setting cold snap, it ran constantly for several days and managed to keep the entire house comfortable...a large, 3 bedroom ranch...at 45% with it set at 50. All other times, it manages 50 with little effort. I keep the unit in a hallway near a return vent.
Easy to fill, adjust, and maintain. Highly recommend.
