Chemically Pure
4 of 4 found this helpful I bought this as to use as an inexpensive laboratory reagent. I couldn't really ask or more - it it what it says: industrial grade isopropyl alcohol. It works great with potassium hydroxide as a base bath for cleaning labware, and it doesn't brown over time like grocery store isopropanol which has acetone in it as a manufacturing impurity. This has now been reacted with various carboxylic acids to form esters for ammonolosys into amides, hydrazides. Apart from the water content, this might as well be ACS grade. Great product.
