Good value and versatile
2 of 2 found this helpful The ECM8000 is certainly no Superlux or B&K but for this low a price it's hard to beat. Originally designed to work with the DSP8024, this condenser mic has a reasonably flat response and for a test mic has a few other uses as well. On recording overheads, a pair of them pick up cymbals nicely and I've even used it live on hi hats with good results. I don't think anything out there comes close for the price, thumbs up for this one!

Great Value!
I need another general purpose mic for vocals and with the fake 58's around didn't
want to risk an on line purchase. The AKG D5 proved to be an excellent choice and
I couldn't be happier. We have a nice selection of mics here but for the price I seem to be using this one more and more and have already bought a couple of them. As good as or better sounding than the Shure standards or e835.
