Good camera, slightly lack-luster in low light.
This is a good entry level DSLR, the autofocus and the shutter response are wonderful. it also works with most of the high end accessories. The 18-55mm kit lens will give you some great images.
The only area where I found it troublesome is in it's low-light performance. At any ISO above 800 the images come out a bit grainy with some artifacts. A good flash should clear this up though. and for the price you'll find it's one of the best options to enter the DSLR segment.
Of course I would of liked to have seen a video mode, or live view, but at this price point you can rest assured you'll have an excellent camera for years to come.
