Great case
It should work good for all wanting a thick outer case and are using a thick outer shell / case or extended battery. It is easy to get the phone on and off. I recommend this case even if you are not using a thick outer shell or case too. A holester for samsung note type phones needs to be flexible like this cade so if something pushes on it it doesnt break the holester like the situation for plastic holesters. This holester like most others needs an additional part fron hone depot or lowes - a spevial type of hooks or hook to hook itbon your belt loop, in case it gets bumped and knocks the holester off. Yes you can run your belt through this holster but this makes the holester harder to take off. The addiotional hook or hooks rhat I like to use not only hrlp your phobr and holester case to keep from falling on the ground, it helps absorb shock if sonething bumps your phone and case. If everything is too rigid it could lead to damaging the ohobe or holster or case. Note phones are larger than most other phones and are more problematic with things hitting them when attached to your sude. But these phobes are easier to use, so you need a good holester, outercase or extended battery outercase and this holster witn exatra hook or hooks for best results. The extra hook makea taking the phone case holster on and off your belt quicker but protects thw whole system from shock or bumping better.

Great value for someone who needs a good smartphone!
1 of 1 found this helpful It shipped with two batteries and a screen protector was installed. I was thinking that the 2nd battery was used. If it was used I cant tell. It appears that it is a new or like new battery and I think the other battery was new! So with my two batteries and my other two batteries from my previous phone I am in pretty good shape. I also use a battery power case, so I am loaded for bear so to speak with my phone. It was a really good value!!!!

My Review
Please take what I have written below with a grain of salt. Despite some cons with it, it is a great case, and I have found it to be most useful in helping me to use my phone without having worry about the battery going down, especially when I am often in rural areas or places with bad reception and need of an extra battery. So I eventually changed it from 3 stars to 5 stars.
Pro: Extra battery and case.
Pro: Gives you more time away from the charger! This is good when you are far from a good phone voice or data reception. If your main phone battery starts to fail, this battery can help augment it. You don't have to remember to carry and extra usb battery and have it around to charge your phone with this battery. Yet, if your phone gets too hot, especially on a hot day or with the heater on and running your Google Maps with GPS for navigation and playing music at the same time, you can simply unplug this unit. or you can keep this unit handy when your phone gets low on power. I used to drive to different locations and install computer hardware and software, and needed my navigation to do this, and wanted to play something at the same time, and having a good battery is very important, if you depend on your phone like I did!
Pro: Fits with phone nicely, easy to hold.
Pro: Phone and this battery/case come apart fairly easy.
-- You should probably charge the phone separately from this battery/case at when you are through for the day - not together.
Con: Sometimes its hard to push the up and down volume controls, especially when driving, since you probably need to look at it carefully when pushing it, or you may not exactly push it correctly, probably because of this case design.
Pro kick stand to keep it on an angle so you can see it good when at your desk, etc. How many charge / cases for a phone have this feature?
Con: When my previous main phone battery was having problems with holding a good charge for all day, I noticed that many times I had to keep pressing the button on the back of this case to keep it charging. But maybe if the screen is on, and the charging was turned on it stays charging? Not sure. Sometimes I had noticed that my phone power was going down when it was plugged into this batter (when this battery was charged) and maybe even when it was hooked up to my car charger in my truck, probably because I didn't keep pushing its power on button on the back of it? But maybe because the charge level in this powercase battery level wasn't high enough.
Pro? But since I have my new battery in my phone, and maybe before this, I seemed to have less problems with it not charging my phone. It is hard to know for sure, but I seem to be having less problems now because I have a new phone battery too.
Con: plugging and unplugging unit could damage if you are not careful. Need to open top of this case properly before attempting to install phone or you could damage it. The connectors are delicate.
Con: Does not offer protection on the sides near the front of the phone or the front side of the phone if it is dropped. Do not use this if you are prone to dropping your phone, especially in areas with hard floors or surfaces or you can take this case off in these areas and put a different case on it. If you use a holster and pull the phone out with this case and battery you could then drop it. But you can switch this case in and out when needed.
Con: It has a Li-Polymer battery. I am not picking on this unit battery case exclusively, but am addressing all items using a Li-Polymer battery, including this Power Case (battery and case). If the unit gets cracked it could be prone to a fire or if it overheats (I am not sure on this). Do not take this powercase with battery on a plane. Do not ship this powercase battery on a plane. Special procedures are needed also when disposing of this battery when it is spent or not holding a charge anymore.
Con: It must be kept charge to a certain minimum value - if the charge falls too low, the battery in this case can be ruined in theory according to experts for this type of battery. I don't know if the manufacturer of this powercase battery has designed enough protections into this powercase and battery to cause the battery to automatically shut off if the power level drops too low. The reviewers of other batteries of Li-Polymer (not necessarily for this actual battery design) say once the power level of this battery level drops too low on Li-Polymer batteries that they will no longer charge properly or enough, if at all. If this battery is fully charged, but not used and if enough it is not recharged soon enough, the battery may be ruined, according to some experts on the subject of this battery type. I don't know if this advise applies to this powercase battery or not, but it may.
Care needs to be taken when using this battery to prevent possible problems with it, or preventing this battery type from becoming unable to be charged anymore.
