Strong and compact zinger
Seems well-made. Return spring is strong and cable seems to be of good quality. Hefty swivel above clip is a nice touch. I've used on several outings and have no complaints.

A Very Good Value
This Chinese 3/4-weight, die-cast aluminum reel, complete with fly line, leader, tippet, and braided loops for U.S. $28, is an excellent value. The drag isn't Orvis quality but it's certainly usable, and the matte silver paint finish, although generally well applied, has a little chip by one of the the cast holes in the spool. Well, the reel is aluminum. It isn't going to rust.
The reel has a large and wide arbor, so it looks looks larger than you'd expect, but it's light and balances an Eagle Claw 3-weight glass rod reasonable well.
I gave this reel and the Eagle Claw rod to my granddaughter yesterday, and we both used it in a small river in Southwestern Connecticut. She was delighted, and I thought the included line cast well over the short to medium distances we were working at.
