JLCooper MCS3 Media Control Station Jog/Shuttle Controller JL Cooper-USB model!

A Great Controller
This is a well-designed and solidly-built control surface. It’s not quite as intuitive and tactile as a Steenbeck controller, but it is a major improvement over using the keyboard. The metal construction and crisp engagement of the transport buttons make it feel like a proper and professional editing tool. The software makes the MCS3 easy to program for any application. I’m using it mainly for Logic and Resolve.

A great machine.
It’s faster and much quieter than the 8 Core 3.0 2,1 that it replaced. It also runs much cooler. And the older-style towers like this are definitely a better deal than the new Mac Pros, not just because of the price - but because they have more features and means of expansion (PCI slots would be a major loss). Yosemite has a little to add compared to Snow Leopard. It is compatible with newer software (Logic Pro X runs great) and is very pretty, in a less-bubbly and more OS9ish kind of way. Overall, this is an impressive machine which will provide many years of service.
