Solid Personal Account of WAR
0 of 1 found this helpful This is the only first-person account of a military mission in Afghanistan that I've read...a friend suggested that I read it because I wanted to know more about what Navy SEALS do in action. This is a solid first-hand account of a terrible mission. Readers will get a page-turner with this book. It's not particularly well-written, in my opinion, but it conveys the story- which is its point. I think any person interested in the U.S. military or our war in the Middle East would get something out of this book. It is pretty dark, but honest (and very patriotic).

A Page-Turner!!!!
A well-written novel. As I was reading, I felt like I was watching a Hollywood Blockbuster...fast-paced, lots of drama (and trauma)- relationship twists, and suspense. Improbable story (factually)- but if you suspend disbelief, you will have a GREAT "ride." Sometimes I don't finish a book if it doesn't "grab" me, but in the case of The Pilot's Wife, I couldn't stop reading-sometimes into the wee hours of the morning. The action kicks off on page one.

Excellent Series for babies and Toddlers!
I was one of those parents who, before having children, said "My children will NEVER watch TV!"- well, after having two children in two years, that changed...
I am careful about which shows I let my one- and two-year-old watch- but this series is a DELIGHT all around. They never tire of ANY of the Fisher Price Baby Development videos- and neither do I! (that's a HUGE plus!). They are beautifully simple and I believe they truly enrich a baby's life (vs. entertaining them while mom does laundry). The videos are just babies doing "baby things" accompanied by beautiful music and images of babies and nature. Both of my kids are captivated by all of the videos in the series. My two-year-old often wants to watch them over and over. Better than whiny Caillou!
