Performance and value; breathe new life into your system with an upgrade!
I upgraded the processor in my Acer Aspire 8942g from the Intel Core i3 with Core i7. I had not upgraded a CPU before, so it was nerve-wracking, but ultimately very rewarding.
I have NOT had any problems with excess noise or fan/heating issues. Installation was a bit of a challenge, but the issues I had with installation were related to my lack of experience with this kind of upgrade and the make and model of my laptop; not the Core 17 920XM
