The knot is quite dense, with good backbone and soft tips (no gelled, hooked tips in the brush I received). It is in the same league as some well-known shaving brands (company S, company P, company T, you know the rest) but at a much cheaper price. Highly recommended.

WOW sums the brush up on opening the handle is between a S Ch 2-3, so if you use either you'll know what to expect, very nice. Knot just shampooed and 2 x hand lathers, feels soft with nice backbone, cant wait for her to dry and hopefully use tomorrow. Overall though early, I'm very impressed with the workmanship/quality that is obviously there and I see owning S's why forums/feedback put Maseto up there with the S,P and T but at 1/4 price!!
