Scrapbooking Enjoyment
I loved this book because it begins with the essentials you will need to get started, then proceeds through each step of scrapbooking, while actually helping you create as you go. Some of the ideas are so inspiring and really give you ideas that you can use. I learned a lot from this book!

Richard Scarry's Cars and Trucks and Things That Go
A great book to provide quality time between parent and child! On each page there are multiple fun objects and characters with printed words to describe each one (disguised vocabulary practice!), plus a tiny little guy called "Gold Bug". The first one to spot "Gold Bug" and point him out is the winner for that page. Children love the interaction and the characters, and along the way, they learn PLENTY! Richard Scarry is an excellent children's author, and kids love this book.

Sweet Apple Review
The book, A Place Called Sweet Apple, by Celestine Sibley is an excellent personal narrative describing the aquisition, and remodeling of a pre-Civil War cabin north of Atlanta. Yet it is more than that. Ms. Sibley, a popular newpaper columnist in the 60's in Atlanta, tells of the neighbors and family who come to assist in the rebuilding of the ancient ruin. They shower her with advice, produce and local recipes which are included in the last chapters of the book. Ms. Sibley is a true naturalist, in that everything that happens there on her land is of interest to her and she truly incorporates all the "wild things" into her writing. One of my favorite parts of the book is when they rebuild the old well on the property.
