I bought this book after seeing Trinny and Susannah's show What Not To Wear on t.v. The book actually gives some pretty good advice on how to dress fashionably by your body type. It gives advice on how to dress well no matter if you're short, tall, skinny, or overweight. What I like about it is they tell you how to cover your flaws and don't just recommend plastic surgery. Accept your body and glam it up. The book is in chapters like Big Arms, No Waist, and Short Legs. There are pictures of Trinny and Susannah in before and after shots and after each chapter they give lists of stores to buy such clothing. In the back of the book they list stores along with websites and addresses. Overall I really like this book and find it very helpful but my only complaint is some of the advice isn't practical. Some people can't just throw out their entire wardrobe and start fresh and some advice may be a little over the top but all in all I recommend it if you are into fashion advice and admire Trinny and Susannah.Read full review
Everyone has a general idea of the "rules" -- in my case, the rules might as well have been about hoop skirts, day umbrellas, and bonnets. Yep, my set of rules were a little dusty. Then these ladies, these seemingly perfect-body ladies, started talking about the little body parts that one is not terribly fond of (and surprisingly, one or the other of them has that embarrassing body part, too) They photograph that unflattering body part the way the fashion industry thinks everyone wants to clothed it and then they dress that body part according to the new RULES. And whamo! The body part is no longer a problem. Excellent book written with a great sense of humor. It's easy to laugh at yourself as you laugh at the ladies. I learned, I remembered, and I was entertained.
This is one of the accidentally funniest books ever written. 5/5 stars, highly recommend.

Witty, funny, descriptive and full of useful tips! The different body types and how to best flatter those types is shown in "before" and "after" photos. The writing style is "girlfriend to girlfriend" and allows you to see the humor in bad style choices. You feel inspired to clean out your closet after reading this book.
I would recommend this book as a good reference. I did like all the informative pictures- it shows the clothing on the "right body type" and the same clothes on the "wrong body type".
