I'm a creative writing student, read Writer's Digest magazine and love Jodi Picoult's regular article. Decided to try one of her many novels. The Tenth Circle was an excellent book! Written beautifully - a real literary piece of work. She gets deeply into emotions of three members of a family and the twists and turns of the events are mesmerizing. I highly recommend this wonderful piece of good writing.
For anyone who has read Jodi Picoult they will love the book. It is her usual style all the way: pick a controversial topic, explore it from all sides, throw in a wrench (or three)and then twist the ending. You end up with a book that keeps you reading, pushing forward to the next page but not wanting it to end too quickly. This book is something extra because of the comic book inclusions. Good book!
I would never rate any of her books as average, but I must say this book was my least favorite out of all that I've read. It's a bit too far-fetched, and she doesn't add much flavor to her writing as she normally does. I would still recommend it - maybe after you've read her others first. I was a bit disappointed, although I must say, I keep thinking about the storyline. :o)
I am hooked on anything written by Jodi Picoult. Her books are rivieting. She write about kids mostly. Teens and younger. There is a lot of court room action. YOu won't be dissapointed. I have passed this book to friends. There is something for just about everyone in this book. You can relate to her experiences by reflecting on your own life.
the tenth circle was very good. i bought the book because ive read other books by jodi picould that were good. i liked the book because of the depth of the story. you could really tell that it was well researched. what i didnt like about the book was that it got a little long and dry in a few areas.i would recomend this book to anyone
