WILMINGTON, NC (June 9,2006) -- I'm 40. White dude, married, no kids -- Born in '65. So I know the Tempts via AM old-school station wagon rollin' thru Fairfax, Va at the time. Great place to be, back of the '69 Chevy 9-passenger SW in blue watchin' Mom up front knowing that all was going to be well for decadessaw this movie twice this last wknd. (VH1 Classic showed it both Sat and Sun -- TIVO is a minor god, btw) ...my summation is as follows: THIS MOVIE IS THE FINEST EFFORT MADE BY CINEMATIC MINDS, EVERTHIS MOVIE SHOULD BE REQUIRED NATION-WIDE VIEWING IN EVERY 5TH GRADE SCHOOL CLASSROOMIT'S A MOMENT THAT YOU WON'T WANT TO LEAVEAND I KNOW MOVIES ... THIS IS THE BESTok, on to the specifics ... the scene when Paul Williams ends up self-killed the T's were studio recording "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" ... the 7 minute vignette both sonically and visually is quantum. I almost called Time Warner and offered them an extra 100 on the next bill. see this movie, see this movie – MAKE IT A Sunday Night thing -- do it Tim in NCRead full review
My husband and I watched this movie a few years ago and fell in love with it. We had a kids watch it with us, and I would have the movie paused every so often because there are so many teaching points. Leadership, responsibility, consequences, chasing dreams, forgiveness, standing firm, and letting go. The acting is phenomenal. So much emotion is portrayed. The Temptations put out such awesome music, but the actors really put depth and meaning to those songs. There is really nothing I don't like about the movie. There are some scenes with drugs, but this is a true story, so you can't pick and choose what part of life to show. Showing the bad with the good brings the viewers in to the emotion of the lives revealed. So I love this, good and bad scenes. I recommend this movie to anyone. It should be a must see, must have movie.Read full review
The film brought alot of fond memoroies of watching the stories of each of the Temps since now its on dvd & also we won tickets to go see the temptations in concert with Otis Williams still leading after all what the group went through i love this film Simple songs that touched our lives and hearts and also creating a new era of music of understanding life love and keeping up on your dreams u stay young just listening to they"re hits.
This movie is one of a kind, these guys had it all with the sound and moves. The group was all in one piece for success but there is always one or two in the group has to make changes and that is where failure happens.

See the back stories of the lives of these sometimes troubled artists. Though their music shines throughout, it's definitely not just a sing and dance show. Fun, and tragic. Highly recommended.
