This book is one of the Sisterhood books by Ms. Michaels. It is the first one I have read in the series. To sum it up, seven very different women come together as a group to extract revenge for wrongs done to them in their past. Myra Rutledge is the one who started it all, financing the group with her endless wealth. Her reason.....she lost her pregnant daughter to a hit and run driver. In this book, Myra finally gets her revenge against the man who committed the crime.....five years later. This book will appeal to you if you are tired of the bad guys getting away with crimes and angry women who take the law into their own hands. I found some parts too unbelievable......like a 65 year old aristocratic Myra riding shot gun from an 18-wheeler. Ms. Michaels has a sense of humor! The story rolls along at a fast pace and and can only end with revenge which may or may not be sweet. It won't bring her daughter and unborn grandbaby back. Vendetta is a good title for this book.Read full review
In the latest installment in Michaels' Revenge of the Sisterhood series. Myra Rutledge founded the sisterhood when her daughter's killer, who had diplomatic immunity, was deported back to his native China. Funded with her fortune and run with the help of her companion, Charles, a former operative for Her Majesty in MI6, and several young ladies who also were denied justice, and who each have their own special skills, the sisterhood works outside the law to help those in need. It is now Myra's turn to exact a little vengeance. The plan is to fly to China, kidnap her daughter's killer, the playboy son of a wealthy former ambassador to the U.S., and bring him to their compound. Charles and three of the ladies wing their way on a private jet to Hong Kong, but someone's quest for revenge against the sisterhood interferes with their plans. Readers may feel a bit squeamish as the vendetta is actualized, but Michaels' writing is as intriguing and fast paced as ever. RECOMMEND 4*'SRead full review
Fern Michaels’ The Sisterhood is the best series of books I have ever read. I read “Vendetta” several years ago and bought this book recently for my library. If you enjoy justice and hate evil, I highly recommend this book.

As much as I have enjoyed reading Fern Michaels & following the Sisterhood series of books, I think that this one went too far as far as being a little unbelievable at times. The revenge wasn't wrong but a little too graphic at parts. This time the twist is also that the "girls" are being watched & trying to be stopped by the ex-fiance of one of them. As always the story keeps you going that you don't want to put it down & want to see how it all ends. It is good to see the girls all together again. The worry that Charles has about his friend in China makes him seem more likable also. Myra at times is the one character that least fits her description as the "old" lady of the group. SHe seems to do too much for an older woman so you tend to forget that she is supposed to be so much older. The ending was explained quite well this time to let you know what really happened to the "bad guy". I will continue to read all of these books in this series.Read full review
