The Pie and Pastry Bible This is a superb reference book for bakers. I was given thorough instruction, superb tips and top of the line chef product recommendations, such as Fruit Fresh Michigan Cherries!! The technical information explaining the why and how things are done to the dough was very helpful. I was a novice baker and now I feel very confident. There are so many different recipes that have been perfected by years of trials. I can't wait to try them all. We had a fabulous double crust fresh blueberry pie last nite. We are gonna have to exercise a little extra, to make up for the sweet treats!! I think this book will find a prominent position on my counter along with Julia Child, A Bourdain and Joy of Cooking!! The book is in near new condition, with only a couple of splashes of dirt on it. I am sure it will be well worn after my daily handling!! Thank you I am very happily baking away!!Read full review

I have two of Rose Levy Beranbaum's other books, The Cake Bible and The Bread Bible and had to have this one for my collection. This book will not disappoint the serious cook and if you're a beginner, Rose will take your hand and guide you step by step through the process of making perfect pies and pastries. This book is written by America's foremost authority on baking perfection. It is beautifully illustrated and the recipes are stunningly delicious.
