Dr. Hyman's wisdom and insight is wonderful for our country, too bad many and all doctors don't show this much interest and encouragement to the well being of their patients. I watched him on PBS about a month ago, and it really made me wake up and pay attention to what I am putting in my body and the amount of sugar that is in all our processed foods, that is so addicting to our minds and bodies. He is wonderful, and he just reminds us what we should be eating like..and gives good ideas for some healthy recipes.
I have purchased other cookbooks concerning blood sugar; to my shock, they contain recipes using sugar! This cookbook does NOT! On receipt and seeing all its herb-based recipes and my kitchen stocked with every herb known to man, I said out loud: "Oh, thank God! I've finally found a cookbook I can use! I can make every recipe in this cookbook!" Love the Almond-Flax-Crusted Chicken, for example!
