Great product. Worth the money. This coffee maker is one of the safest coffee makers on the market, in relation to the plastics they're using. You want as little plastics as possible when the plastic comes into contact with the hot coffee, in order to avoid cancer causing chemicals to be released into the coffee and other unwanted flavors. Their plastics are BPA, BPS, BPF and Pthahlate free. The heating element is a copper coil element which heats the water at a constant temperature. It also comes with 5 years waranty and it's handmade in the Netherlands, not China. This product is certified by 2 different Coffee Associations. Based on all the research I've done, this product is a solid choice that will last a long time. The only complaint I have, and I can live with it, has to do with the quality of the plastics. They seem pretty flemzy, compared to the overall quality of this product. If you're able to go over that issue, then this product will not disappoint. Read full review

Easy addition of water to the container. The lever on the brewing cup is flimsy and difficult to change. The cover over the brewing container is flimsy and easy to drop. The carafe is sturdy, but is not always in contact with the 'white button", which allows brewing to continue. Once brewing starts, the water is very hot immediately. Coffee is brewed in less than 5 minutes. It is too hot to drink "black". It actually scorched my tongue, even after waiting more than 10 minutes. You have to remember to pull the lever down on the brewing cup, otherwise coffee drips onto the counter. There always seems to be residual water left in the water container after brewing is completed. There was no appreciable improvement in the taste of the finished brew, compared to my Cuisinart device. I am quite disappointed that this device, which was so highly touted and so expensive, could be such a mediocre product. Read full review

Bought for my wife as she loves coffee and was having a tough week. She loved her Mr. Coffee makers and would not have spent much on a higher end machine like this. She LOVES this unit and can tell the difference in taste. She really likes the thermal pot as it keeps the coffee warm all morning. Plus, it looks great in the kitchen and adds to her morning ritual.

This coffee maker is great if you want a good cup of coffee right now. My issue with it is it does not have any kind of timer and it is only 10 cups. I added a timer to the outlet. They say don't do this because the water oxidizes or something but this seems a bit silly to me. I don't use filtered or bottle water so I can't imagine tap water sitting out overnight will matter. The one issue with letting the water sit out is the container is not very well sealed and occasionally I will find a fly or insect in the water reservoir in the morning. It does make good coffee. Is it 2 or 3 times better than my $100 14-cup CuisineArt coffee maker with a timer? Hmm... I'm not sure.
