I work in the airline industry, and use these tools quite often. They always remove a broken, or stripped out screw, with no damage. My coworkers think that I am magic for removing their damaged screws. I tell them, and show them how it’s done, but they are always amazed. This is my second set as I have abused the first for way too long. I wanted to remain a hero, so I bought another set.

Tried these on a broken exhaust stud and was disappointed as they would not grab it but just kind of ground it out more than the 1/8 hole I had put in it. Ended up having an excellent mechanic weld a piece on the broken stud and removed them. There were 3 total and grabit did not work on any of them.

You have to know the limits of every tool and this is no different. I have learned to always to as much preparation (i.e., soak in oil, heat, soap water, etc.) as possible before trying to remove damaged or broken screws, bolts and nuts. This product will provide excellent results if you are patient and let it do what its designed for. That being said, it is for smaller and shorter targeted applications. Remember the target was damaged for a reason and often that needs to be addressed or assisted before using this or any removing tool.

Stripped screw head, use the Grabbit to remove, easy as pie. Have used many times with absolute success. Backs the screw out as easy as if the head weren't stripped
