This device worked well. Range and clarity and volumn are good enough for home studio work. The headphones are not very high quality and distort easily. I switched to a pair of studio monitor class headphones and sound was much improved. These are much less expensive than the brand name alternatives and I am mostly pleased with their performance.

It simply did not work on stage with my band. My sound guys tried everything. It has so much interference and static. It completely dropped out. No one could help me figure out why and there are absolutely no instruction guides anywhere to help you set up with the sound guy. The 3 sound guys I worked with could not get it to transmit to me...worthless. I can't use it.

Good transmission distance. Plenty of overhead/volume. Sound quality is average --has diminished highs and fidelity. Sound is about like an FM station; nowhere near studio quality. This is acceptable for live and studio monitoring and still a great value compared to Shure and others.

I have been pleased with the performance of the unit. I have used it twice, once at band practice, and once at a live show (along with just tinkering with it at home a few times). In both instances, I was able to hear the other musicians effectively. The unit has a pretty good range to it, as I was able to walk down the street from my house and still hear the music fine. The sound quality is not pristine, as there is a little bit of loss of high end frequencies, and from time to time particularly strong sounds will cause a little bit of distortion. However, the overall sound is fine. For a bargain-priced item, the unit is effective. (There is a video on YouTube that has a comparison of the unit's audio to a regular PA output. Just type in the name of the unit in the search box on YouTube and it should be on the first page of results.) There are a couple of modifications you might need to make. The input jack on the base is stereo. If you are using a mono cable, the sound will only come out of one ear, so you need to get a mono-to-stereo adaptor plug. I also bought an additional pair of ear buds. The included ones work fine, but they can fall out on occasion, due to the wires hanging down. I bought a pair with over-the-ear clips, which stay in place more firmly. (I paid about $10 for the aftermarket ear buds, & $4 for the adaptor plug.) Overall, I have been very pleased with the unit, and consider it a value for the price. Read full review

I Have used these IEM for over a year and at first seemed alright but wasnt quite fitting properly. So I purchased another set of IEM "earbuds", that helped a little getting better "buds", buuuut, if you are a guitar player looking for IEM then they are Ok,Vocalist-eeehhh!! unless you need lots of bass or lower end. If you Do need the lower end and you try to push, say a whole band mix through this unit {I use, drums, bass 3 vox, keys, and depending on night 3 rock guitars and 1 acoustic electric}, it will start acting like there is a compressor turning you down then fade back up semi-quickly on the up beats. So I even used Over the ear Senn's studio headphones and same issue. I checked my monitor out settings to see if I have gate or compressor on my monitor out. After making sure all Digital mixing and processing from Digital console is off or set to cause no compression. Same. this is great for listening to CD music MP3's, but once you REALLY start using as it is stated, well, not so good. You get what you pay for. If you are in an acoustic band, solo or mininal in "Live" mix it should be good. Rock, Metal, not so much. If you are trying to keep band practice quite to get more work done this is START, but just like the training wheels on your first bike. After a while, just need More! My only downside for my tag is the "AutoCompression". I have my mix from my x18 to my behringer 8 heaphone amplifier as to have more control over all send to unit. Never in yellow nor red. signal clean when changing multiple headphones from MY X18-Heaphone unit. Only does it when using this IEM transmitter/receiver. Hope this helpsRead full review
