This little light is what I was looking for. Previously bought a competitor’s version, that had a couple more features and brightness settings, but it just wouldn’t hold up. I don’t abuse my tools, but once in a while, something might slip out of your hands, and hit the ground. I had this happen a grand total of three times with my previous brand, and it died. Returned it to manufacturer, and while they did ultimately replace it, they claimed ‘abuse’ had been inflicted to the light. Said the light wasn’t built for that kind of use. Funny, I wasn’t told anything about that when I bought it. When I bought my little Streamlight ‘ProTac’, granted, I was a little bit more cautious at first, and treated this thing with kid gloves because I didn’t want to have to re-live what I feared could be a similar experience. So far, I couldn’t have been more wrong. I’ve dropped it a couple times already, and it hasn’t failed to fire right up when I press the button. I suppose time will ultimately tell in the long run, but so far, I couldn’t be more pleased. I will update as I use this thing and see if my sentiment remains the same. This little guy has a high, low & strobe setting, but the beam strength sequence can be varied (or even eliminated, if desired). It’s a good value for the money, I believe, but you will have to purchase the rechargeable battery pack separately (I recommend this), or you can just use two disposable CR123 batteries instead. I chose to just use my batteries from the previously offending brand, and they work very nicely.Read full review

I had the smaller version of this light from Streamlight that runs on 1 CR123 battery and is advertised at 350 lumens. I was incredibly happy with the smaller one, so decided to get this one for occasions when I needed that additional 150 lumens. I didn't get them. Comparing the 2 side by side, there is a drastic difference in the color of light they emit. The small version has a brilliant white lite and this one has a dull yellow color to it. I compared them in a variety of situations and the smaller light from the same company is brighter and more effective than this model that is supposed to have 150 lumens more.

This light comes defaulted with hi-strobe- low user interface, but ten tap programmable. GREAT. Use it many times throughout my day at work installing security and fire alarm systems. Lightweight for your belt carried in sheath. Purchased because cr123a primary batteries are easy to come by at work and are a great power source for this light. Would like to see a cr123a magazine sleeve included. This would fill the diameter otherwise filled by an 18650 li-ion. For service and construction industry this is excellent. GET ONE!

I actually bought this light to replace an Olight that I really liked but which didn't survive a drop. It's sufficiently bright, although there are brighter lights out there. It fits most common light carriers and includes one of its own. 18650 battery compatibility was a big point for me, and being able to run on 123's was a nice bonus. (123's do rattle slightly when used but could be shimmed with a bit of paper if desired). It has three programming schemes of Bright-Strobe-Dim-Off, Bright only/Off and Dim-Bright-Off. They are sequentially accessible by ten taps with a hold down on the tenth. Works well enough and easy to switch if needed. It's a keeper.

Good EDC light, recommend this over the surefire products that are way more expensive. I used to be a surefire advocate but Streamlight beats them in every way, especially price. This isn't a case of "get what you pay for". It's high quality and bright with more features for less price.
