Well, it is a antique book, made in 1986 for special dressmaking techniques. It is like a dream for a collector to see how to thecniques improve today wiht all of special textiles with were not there in that time. Nevertheless it is a pleasure to learn antique techniques which can improve the understanding for the origins of the modern ones. It make me laugh to see thoses activeware matching the Dynasty Era and Jane Fonda clothings...
"Sewing Activewear" is easy to understand with plenty of pictures. This is a great 'How to" book. It ranges from Leotards & Swimsuits to Activewear & Outerwear with all the details included. There is fitting, fabric, cuff, ribbing & buttonhole information-just to name a few. I was most interested in the swimsuit section and also learned knits.
The book is in great shape, except for one corner of the flyleaf, which looks as if it had been cut, but it's not a real problem. In spite of being some twenty years out of date fashion wise, the sewing tips are still useful, and easy to follow.
