Seller had mistakenly listed John Williams on the title. As far as I can tell having listened to about half of the album, John Williams and/or the Boston Pops had absolutely nothing to do with this recording other than being the original composer/conductor. "G.S.O" is credited as the performer. Is that, perhaps, any of the Gwinnett, Greenville, Guelph, or Grossmont Symphony Orchestras? It actually does sound a lot like the Switched On Bach albums by Wendy Carlos. With plenty of pop synthesizer overtones. The results are hit or miss, some tracks such as the Battlestar Galactica theme turned out pretty good with a fresh interpretation, while the themes for 2001: A Space Odyssey, Star Wars, and Twilight Zone were almost painful to listen to. Some of the titles were not familiar to me at all. (Silent Moon, Cosmic Wind?) But it all works into something like a new age recording. There are no liner notes to speak of, only a small catalog of other LaserLight recordings inside.Read full review
