The Sci-Fi Channel Trivia Game is an clumsily put-together adaptation of The Sci-Fi Channel Trivia Book. While the questions are interesting, the interface is awkwardly designed and the format makes the game-play go more slowly than it needs to be. Each session is hosted by Morphix, whose limited set of comments become more and more tedious the deeper you reach into the bank of nearly 5,000 questions. There are five categories from which to choose: Movies, Television, Comics, Books and Wormhole, the latter being a catch-all for many of the game's most obscure questions. Each question has a point value, with the lower-value questions being considerably easier than the higher value ones. There is a two-player mode, but the game is best played solo. The Sci-Fi Channel Trivia Game lacks any way to prevent repetitive questioning or to answer the questions sequentially. The book is much better designed for people who want to be sure they've tried to answer all of the questions. For those who don't mind the interface, the questions can be fun, and Morphix isn't really that bad an idea, but rather is just underdeveloped.
