Everything does work as advertised, but if the dvd has even the smallest smudge or scratch it will not play properly. We have tried to watch 2 Redbox rented movies and both of them stopped. The brand new movie we purchased played without a hiccup. I suppose i can't complain too much for the price, but it's still frustrating. Cost and delivery time were excellent.
