I'm happy with the wifi transceiver which seems to be better than the previous phone. The software is fairly intuitive, and gives instruction the first time by default. The hardware seems solid in most ways too. I bought a Samsung case on Amazon for $12, and that was a great idea too. I really like the stylus (S Pen they call it). The speaker and earpiece have some good volume capability and are good quality. The battery has a good amount of energy, but when using such a useful phone (phablet), it's easy to be on it long enough to run the battery down through the use of streaming video, GPS, screen, and many other concurrent apps that all perform a function. An upgrade would be to use a better charging connector that can supply more juice to the phone, since the microUSB cannot supply enough current to power the phone and charge the battery during intense application use. If you're thinking of buying a good phone from a couple years ago, I would suggest the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. It's an all-around good phone. The small downsides are that the screen has minor burn-in, which shows that the phone isn't new and bugs me a little, but doesn't harm productivity. My guess is that most Samsung Galaxy Note 4's will probably have some screen burn by now, though my previous HTC EVO 4G had no noticeable screen burn. Additionally, the GPS receiver isn't as good as the previous phone, and will not get a GPS fix consistently when the new phone sits in the same cup holder in the vehicle where the previous phone was able to keep up with my location while driving. The headphone jack has nanny software that turns the volume down every time something is plugged in, so I have to max out the volume every time I plug it in when I'm using it to input into another device where I want full volume every time. Seriously Samsung, I value my hearing. I don't need you to value it for me by turning down my volume setting every time.Read full review

Great phone, replaceable battery and SD card slot. Too bad Note 5 lost the SD and the battery is not replaceable. The battery the unit came with doesn't last as expected. It is probably old.

This is not the first Note 4 I have owned. In fact, I have used up several of these, but I keep coming back to this phone because, by this time they're a Very good value for the money, they have a very nice size screen, and they fit in my pocket well.

Buy more batteries...great thing about this phone is you can switch out the batteries. I bought three 5840 mAh batteries with NFC and external charger for under $40. This phone is awesome to use. Buy it new. Keep the Amoled screen from getting burns by using a screen fix regularly. This phone has so many features you can now longer things in Samsung phones. The last great one made. Well worth the $300. I had to travel for an emergency and had to rent a car late one night for a very long drive. By the time I realized the cars cigarette lighter didn't work and none of the car's outlets would charge my phone I was down to 12% and to far from the airport to turn around. I began to panic because I would have to stop somewhere of the freeway alone and late at night to charge my phone, but then I remembered I have 3 backup batteries. 30 seconds later a new battery that lasted 8hrs. I'll never go back to a phone without a removable battery. Not voluntarily at least.Read full review
