Why won't he let them master be released for a re-mastered print with modern technology??? This is such a good album and yet he seems to regret it. Maybe he prefers his more mainstream, watered-down, middle America sounds of the 80's... Sad... Because this album had real soul and a little attitude...even a little passion about the world around him.

Seger's first LP is a bit dated, but still tops later efforts. Aside from the big hit 'Ramblin' Gamblin' Man', this release features a few other excellent tunes, including 'Tales of Lucy Blue' and the stirring anti-war song '2 + 2 = ?'. Many are unfamiliar with Seger's material before 'Night Moves' and the many successful albums released afterwards. To me, this signaled the beginning of his corporate rock phase; while financially rewarding for Seger, he no longer exhibited the same youthful swagger and energy of his early works. For those interested in the real McCoy, try to get your hands on 'Mongrel', 'Back in '72' (never released domestically) and 'Seven'. Once you've listened to these excellent releases, you'll know what I mean.
Awesome rare CD for fair price. I would recommend this seller. Hard to find Bob Seger release, not currently in distribution.

It's not the best Bob Seger CD, but if you were a fan of the early Bob Seger System, you probably want this CD.
