El transporte polarizado en espín de nanoestructuras de manganitas resulta de interés tanto para la física básica, debido a la gran interrelación entre sus propiedades físicas, como para el desarrollo de aplicaciones tecnológicas vinculadas a la electrónica de espín, al estar sus portadores de carga totalmente polarizados. En este trabajo se estudió la influencia de la oxigenación y las tensiones biaxiales inducidas por el substrato, en las propiedades físicas de films de manganitas. Las tensiones compresivas estabilizan un estado fundamental ferromagnético y aceleran la difusión de oxígeno, mejorando sus propiedades magnéticas y de transporte. Se estudió la relajación magnética en films de La0.6Sr0.4MnO3, y se presenta un modelo fenomenológico que incluye dos mecanismos de relajación, uno da una contribución logarítmica a la relajación y el segundo da una contribución exponencial. Finalmente se estudiaron las propiedades físicas de tricapas de manganitas con electrodos ferromagnéticos y metálicos y espaciadores de diferente naturaleza magnética, se estudió el efecto túnel en estos sistemas y los pasos necesarios para el desarrollo de junturas túnel utilizando estos compuestos.
