The patch works great , Looks like new and no one has even noticed the repair !
I purchased a kit like this when these kits were new about 20 years ago and the kit was almost the same , now they give more leather patterns , more colors and it is a bit easier to match the color needed ! I fixed a cigarette burn back then and it looked fine only a slight discoloration , but the patch lasted for several years and was intact when the car was traded ! I would recommend this kit before calling a professional repair person and laying out quite a few more dollars !

Where do I begin.....
First the listing specifically said "Electric pro heat tool".... there is nothing electric about a small piece of metal on the end of a stick... So they really need to update the listing because it's incorrect. When I emailed them asking about this they said "We are sorry if there was any confusion. The heating tool in this item is the wooden dowl, which you are to heat up by another source and use the heated dowl as per the instructions in the kit. We do not sell one with an electric tool." Um.... I'm not confused I just went by what your listing specifically said the kit included!! My spouse has used the kits with the electric tool before and had great success with them. Secondly, i'm a very crafty/innovative person. We do boat restoration from carpet to gel coat yet I can seem to get this stuff to work at all! The tool either gets too hot and melts the vinyl through the paper(no matter how much you turn it in a circular motion) or doesn't get hot enough to set the liquid. And don't even think it'll dry the same color as you mixed it, I mixed it 3-4 shades darker and it still came out a lighter - off color. This was nothing but a mess.Read full review

nice product but hard to use... there was no electrical tool included as advertised.... very hard to apply heat w/tool they supplied, which in result, very bad product application. Trying to transfer heat to a stamp tool and then using the stamp tool to apply heat to make or cure the paint mixture was a very difficult challenge. Takes a long time and the result is usually imperfection.

Waste of money
The liquid never dried, the little dowel with the metal head did not get hot enough to heat bond to the practice patch. I tried to go to the website in the instructions, and use the email address on the instruction sheet and neither one was functional, extremely disappointing.
