We used sonic care years ago but stopped as replacement heads seemed expensive at that time.!After recent dental exams we learned that both of us have gum problems. Time to take much better care of our teeth and gums and this brush is part of our plan! I really like the timer, my soft pink color and especially the clean, fresh feel in my mouth! We’re looking forward to better exams next time - it’s a small price to pay and worth every penny.

I have owned 4 of these toothbrushes and They all failed to function after about six months of use. They do a lovely job cleaning your teeth, but for the money you would think it would last longer than half a year! You're better off going with the cheaper oral B toothbrush.

This Sonicare is much nicer than my old one. This one gives settings for not only clean, but also white, polish, gum care and sensitive. The design of the toothbrush and charger is sleek.

I bought a cheap, off-brand electronic toothbrush on Ebay a year ago. Less than eight months of use, it started to malfunction: It was erratic - would turn on, start brushing then suddenly shut off. Finally it stopped working altogether, wouldn't charge even. I tried to contact the manufacturer, they never returned my emails or calls. It was a total write off, bad investment and certainly not worth the "savings" - a cheap knock-off. Never buy an unknown, untested brand, which brings me to the merits and benefits of buying a Philips Sonicare Toothbrush. Sonicare is a proven technology that really does the job. Here's what their site has to say: "The carefully researched and patented sonic combination of approximately 31,000 brush strokes per minute and the specific reach of the brush head as it sweeps back and forth are what create Sonicare’s unique dynamic cleaning action. This unique combination achieves the clinically proven disruption of plaque biofilm, even in hard-to-reach areas. ... High Frequency, High Amplitude The key to Sonicare's dynamic cleaning action is our brush head motion." I swear by Philips Sonicare Brand. Within a week, I noticed a noticeable difference in my mouth and my teeth: 1) There was no film, 2) Calcification / tartar removed from my bottom row teeth, 3) More food particles were dislodged with each thorough brushing, meaning that the "oscillations, vibrations" definitely work; 4) Overall cleaner feeling in my mouth and gums and fresher breath not to mention they looked brighter, too! I learned my lesson; I was trying to take a shortcut trying to save money and I almost ended up compromising my dental care for a few dollars out of pocket. Not a good move. Stick to Philips Sonicare toothbrush. There's a difference.Read full review

Love the color of this toothbrush, it's a light pastel pink that does not have a metallic finish. Like many other reviews have already mentioned, it does make your teeth feel really clean afterwards. I have only just bought this so am not sure about the durability. Many reviews have said it tends to break easily, we'll see. I actually enjoy brushing my teeth now with this.
