This brush is very compact and nicely balanced. The angle on the brush head is perfect for cleaning both the inside and outside surfaces of the teeth. The battery charges easily and would run multiple brushing cycles without recharging, although I have not experimented with this. One downside (as with multiple blade razors), is the cost of the replacement heads -- it's recommended in the Sonicare literature to replace them every month. I don't know the exact MSRP, but it appears to be in the $10-12 range per head. The product is overly expensive, but then again, so is the cost of dentist office visits. It was my hygienist at the dentist's office who recommended this Diamond series of Sonicare to me -- my old one had Ni-CAD batteries and would barely hold enough charge for even one brushing. So, out with the old and in with the new.Read full review

It was SO loud and had no power to it. I tried recharging over a few days and tried everything I could find online for troubleshooting and nothing worked. It gave me a headache to use it, it was so loud. I think it was just old and/or defective.

I had not been happy for some time with my "regular" (battery-operated) toothbrush, noticing some stains and unusual plaque build-up behind my lower teeth. When a friend (a good friend - as who else would talk about, of all things, a toothbrush!!!) raved about her new toothbrush, I started researching/reading reviews of the Diamond Sonicare brushes. My goodness but there are a lot of versions/features from which to choose! When it arrived, and after letting it charge completely, I gave it a whirl. AMAZING! It didn't remove the stains that first brushing - but by the third/fourth time the stains were noticeably less visible - and now (it's been maybe 3 weeks) they're gone! I will say I have a tough time with the "splash-age" and don't much love when the brush hits teeth other than the ones I'm working on (there's quite a clatter inside there) - but my mouth feels so fresh and clean that I don't see going back. As my son says, "It's a *toothbrush*" - but oh, my goodness - WHAT a toothbrush!Read full review

Great upgrade for us. Our 9 year old sonicare finally died and we bought this one to replace it. Really like the slimmer brush base and flat charging base. Don't care for the 'glass' shaped charger as it seems like it will just collect dust and dirt so we opted to use the other charger. Plenty of charging options. Really happy with this buy. I'm sure I'm crazy but I think my teeth even look whiter!

I have used battery-operated toothbrushes for years, but never had a Sonicare before. A friend recommended it and I decided to spring for it even though the price is high. The first time I used it I loved it and my teeth felt like I had had them cleaned at the dentist's office. After a week of use my teeth definitely looked whiter and my gums look healthy. I wish I had had this toothbrush years ago.
