I waited a long time to buy one of these and now I’ve got one . Winters will be a lot easier to endure . Only issue is the calibration of clubs!! I seem to have lost 20yards or more and iam a scratch golfer , swing speeds don’t match my pro track man stats which is a bit concerning , however it’s a great product none the less and I am looking forward to utilising it , a couple of words of warning 1. the software loading of pre-installed courses take about half an hour to install so don’t expect to be plug playing within 10 mins 2: practice your putting using the practice course as putting is its main drawback good luck and enjoy .

At best this product is equivalent to a Nintendo Wii peripheral. I was hoping it would be more useful as a tool but it is basically useless for improving your swing. Having said that I do have fun with my 6 year old playing on the big screen. Amazingly he hits it and the actual ball dribbles off the tee but the shot on the screen is a perfect shot down the middle of the fairway 180 yards out so he loves it. Club readings are horrible. We tried the tape on the bottoms of the clubs which helped a bit but still does not give an accurate display of a shot. If you really want a product that will give you real feedback at a reasonable price try the SkyTrak ball launch monitor. I got the skytrak and the optishot has not been used since. I will be selling the optishot.

I had some hiccups getting the software to run initially since my computer is a few years old. But now it works fine. I am happy with it because now I can get data and see what is going on with my club face at impact. It is very convenient because I can practice regardless or weather and don't have to travel to the range each time. I am happy with it so far.

Once you get your club head speed and distances dialed in, it really works great. Sensors really show the path, clubface open vs close, and toe, heal, or center hits. Ball flight matches the feel of the shot perfectly. Only thing it doesn't show thin or fat shots. The only thing I don't like is that the optishot sits higher than the mat meant for it.

I have had my unit for about two weeks. Right now it’s a glorified tiger woods Xbox game. Made a platform with 3/4 plywood covered with outdoor grass carpet 4 x 5 with a hole cut out for the unit. Looks good. Hard to calibrate driver. Says I hit 280 yards when I only hit 220-240 at best. Read a review before writing this that said he calibrated his using blue painters tape. Started using real balls now using foam balls. Have to use fluorescent light. Tried it with regular light bulb and it didn’t read the clubs well at all. Really you don’t even have to use balls it just reads the club going over the sensors. I have a nice net from Walmart $35. I ordered a 120 in projector screen $20 and mini projector $30 from wish dot com when they come in I will try it again calibrating it using tape and see if it make a difference. Bought this on eBay and not sure if it is returnable. Read full review
