I bought this phone for my mother in law as she had a cheap flip phone that she constantly complained about poor call quality and never being able to use the features of the phone. The Bravo was easy to set up and if you pay attention to what you are doing easy to use. The call quality is excellent and battery life very good. It isn't a iPhone like she wanted but I have a iPhone and know the call quality sucks, this is a world apart in that respect. She can use facebook and lots of games on her phone now , something she couldn't do before.
Motorola Bravo is not the best phone, but definitely not the worst. Its specs are better than HTC Aria (600Mhz CPU, 2.7" screen) for the same price. For the price of a used iPod Touch, you get more. However, the phone freezes sometimes for no reason. Pros: Great value for an android phone with this spec: 800Mhz ARM, 3.7" captivate touch screen, android 2.2.1, 802.11n, under $200. Cons: slow some time, freeze some times, does not support 720p, boggy, hard to reach microSD: behind the battery and cover, 3 Megapixel camera, no front camera, speaker is not loud enough. Battery only last one day if you turn just wi-fi on.
Very nice smartphone, I don't have data plan but the wifi connection can browse the web smoothly with no problem. Only thing I don't like is, the manufacturer Motorola looking to control user by putting the mandatory initial account sign up screen for anyone who wants to use this phone(or any of their other smartphone) first in order to use the phone. I believe this is a very silly feature been imposed by Motorola, it's something to do with the privacy, I personally don't like it. So, this would be my last Motorola device.
Noone has said that you MUST suscribe to motoblur before you can even use this phone so I am. Its nothing tho, just wanted all to know. Its fairly easy to use. I have had to go to the manual for a few things, but most things can be found on your own. The battery holds charge all day and then some. I dont do alot of web browsing or game playing, but am in and out of signal alot and use the phone in very weak signal locations which would drain alot of phones Ive tried. There are alot of apps still running from the previous owner too. Signal strength is as good as my Tundra, which is 1 of the best for that. The keyboard is alot easier to use when turned sideways for someone with larger fingers. Im yet to learn how to save a message, not even sure that you can. Save doesnt come up as 1 of the options. Volume levels are great! Speaker phone is nice and loud also. Everyone can hear me fine both ways, and I can hear them also, Im usually in very noisey enviroments. Pictures & videos look good. I dont know alot about the web on it. No more than Ive used it it seems like its faster than my home pc lol. All in all it seems to be a rather good phone.Read full review
