I bought Mec-Gar magazines for both my Ruger MK I pistol and these for my Ruger MK III 22/45. The MK I replacements were flawless but these MK III replacement do not run in my gun. After carefully measuring everything I could comparing the original factory magazine that works perfectly in my gun and these replacements I have found one major difference. These replacement magazines lock up .030" lower in the frame than the factory magazines which is just enough that it doesn't consistently pick up the next round. If I push up from the bottom of the magazine it will then pickup the round. The lug on the side of the magazine that allows the magazine catch to retain the magazine is higher than the factory magazine which causes the magazine to sit lower when locked into the frame and causes the feeding problem. The other dimensions of the magazine seem to be perfect except for this one fatal flaw. I am very disappointed in these after such a great experience with their MK I replacements. Until they address this problem just buy the Ruger magazines for your MK III 22/45.Read full review

Will not cycle....these mags will not feed properly in either of my MKIII-22/45. Not sure if it's the follower height or mag height, but both mags I bought will consistently cause a Failure to Feed, and let the slide close on the unfed round, pinching it midway on the case. BUY FACTORY . I have several other Mec gar mags that work perfectly in my 1911's.

The Mec Gars work, but not as smoothly and as reliably as the Ruger mags. They are cheaper and I think can be reworked to better their performance per the Tandemkross website. I've ordered Ruger slide buttons ($2) to replace the Mec Gar buttons that are very small and very tough on your thumb when loading.

I normally buy OEM stuff. Always concerned about quality. This clip so far has taken every brand of .22 ammo I've put they it with no James or misfeeds. Ejects clean and was about half the price of a Ruger brand clip.

Poor quality, didn't fit properly. Loaded okay, emptied good, fed ok, but you can't drop the slide with a Mec-Gar magazine in place! The Ruger magazines work just fine! I ended up buying Ruger magazines for about the same money, you just can't beat the Ruger magazines!
