Great vintage reissue Marshall overall. Nice vintage sound. Very simple amp. Awsome broken in green back. It is loud enough to play in small clubs. I rarely use the tremolo, no comments on that. Works great with booster/OD pedals.

Great sounding amp....really sweet tones.....but does not a versatile amp....clean head room is limited and not loud enough to play med/large venues withought mics

The Marshall 1974X is an excellent recreation of the original 18 watt amp that established "that sound" so many years ago. I had been looking for a reasonably-priced version that would provide the same volume and tone as the original, and this one nails it. It is a very well-built amp, with a hand-wired chassis, solid cabinet, and high-quality components. While it is a bit on the spendy side, I found an excellent deal on eBay for one that was in near-new condition. If you are looking for that screaming Marshall tone in a user-friendly package, you can't go wrong with this amp.
This amp is stunning. It has some of the best clean tones at lower volumes and great Marshall overdrive when cranked.
