I’ve used a Little Giant Pond Pump for an ornamental Pond Off our Deck for several summers of non stop service. I have finally had to purchase a replacement pump and replaced it with another Little Giant Pump. After speaking with their tech support, I found that if I had restricted the flow of the pump, rather than run it full flow, I could have gotten several more seasons out of it. Trying that approach with the new pump, so time will tell. One season and counting. Go Little Giant Go!

Little Giant needs to upgrade the quality of materials the motor is made of as they just don't last. the design of the pump and how it works is great, but it is just not durable. I have been replacing little pumps in a crystal clear fountain every year or two for the past twenty or more years. I like the pump when it is working, but it is a major problem to have to replace it as often as I have. Maybe an executive at Little Giant will read this review and do something about improving the durability and operational longevity or their pumps. who really cares

This is the second Little Giant pump that I've used in a fountain in the entry way to our house. For about five years we had an earlier model of this same pump that ran virtually every day until it final died. In our application it pumped a "head" of about 110 cm and delivered more than adequate flow to a four spigot fountain head. These quiet, powerful, compact, professional quality pumps, are well-worth the extra cost when compared to the cheaper submersible pumps that are commonly sold in the big-box home improvement stores.
