The structure is easy to understand, it gives you more to read if you choose and seems to stick to Biblical terms. Not changing it. Was recommended and used from sonlight curriculum company, so we bought it. but I would have bought it using the curriculum or not. Great for short devotional time. Not really a story picture book, but content is simple to listen to say when children are coloring. I often add a picture story book about the same topic or character. Have been glad that we bought it. we may go through it once and then do it again next year.
My Grandson and Granddaughter have three children under the ages of seven. My Granddaughter asked me to assist her in answering questions her children were asking her about salvation. She was concerned that they would not just make an outward or oral profession of faith, but would understand clearly, in their hearts, the true meaning of the new birth. Since they were asking questions about it she thought it was a good time to answer their questions and do it in a meaningful way. Since I live about 2,000 miles away, it was not always convenient for me to assist her with her answers. I purchased the book, Leading Little Ones to God, and sent it to her to use. Now she periodically uses this book with all three children, at the same time, to incourage their thinking and to give to them answers which are meaningful at their levels of comprehension. This book not only does this but it also allows them to discuss with their parents the ramifications of their questions without going off into areas which lead to doubt and confusion. Each of the three children seems to benefit from what the others are saying. She seems to think it will take approximately 3 months to completely go through the book as thoroughly as she wishes. Thank you for allowing me to reflect on this matter. Terry TrippeRead full review
I used this book with my 4 children, ages 3-13. We all enjoyed it. The devotional style is short, but really packed with solid Bible teaching. It led the way to many wonderful conversations. We still (10 years later), recall some of the lessons learned from this book. I did not use all the components, such as a memory verse, but the readings and learning we got was worth it all. Have given this as a gift to new moms.

This book is very detailed about many of the questions one might ask about when learning about God, Jesus, Salvation, etc. It covers lots of ground. The chapters are short and they also include a hymn, a scripture, and discussion questions ... if you wanted to go that route. I read it to my 4 year old boy and at first I thought he may not be interested because these are things he can see. While I read it he seems distracted but when I ask him some questions about it after he can answer them! In fact, he often will ask more about it in the days following! I love that. It is getting his wheels turning. This book is a very through way to teach your young ones about who God is and what we have to do with Him. I am so excited to work through this book with all of my children. I purchased a used one on ebay. I opted for the absolute cheapest I could find. I regret that. I wish I bought a nice new one because I intend to never let it go. I hope to read it to my grand children someday too! This would make a fabulous gift for a special little one in your life!Read full review

It has Scriptures, Bible memory verses, prayers, intro to Hymns and discussion questions. My children love their daily time learning about God.
