I consider myself to be a very lucky man. I'm the second owner of this beautiful guitar and I have to give credit to the original owner for keeping this guitar in showroom condition for 10 years! The unique feature of this guitar or series (only 30 L-10 BPs made) is the rare Bubinga Pomillie (also spelled Pomelle) wood used in the sides and back. This is an African wood that is sometimes refereed to as "African rosewood" which has the same density and hardness of rosewood, but not a true rosewood. The other unique feature of this guitar/wood is the subtle "quilting" and color patterns it creates as you move it under a bright light. I'd describe the sound characteristics as subtle when you play soft and noticeable and warm when you play with intention. The craftsmanship and construction of this guitar is simply superb. Aside from the BP wood, I'd say the other specifications of the guitar are the same as a standard L-10. I'll let you look up the details and specifications yourself. At little over 4 lbs (no electronics), the guitar is well balanced in every respect and very easy to play. So far I've found myself playing the guitar as much as twirling it in the light and enjoying the visual beauty of the wood and overall craftsmanship of a fine Larrivee.Read full review
