I prefer this dac over the Chord Mojo and it trounces the Audiolab M-DAC imho. This is obviously if you can live with USB only input. I have 1 of these and two DS-DAC-100, which is also awesome and in my experience its headphone amp is even better than the 100m reviewed here. For line-out, the 100m has only a 3.5mm socket, in contrast with the 100 which have both RCA and balanced outputs. Both have headphone out, 100 has a 1/4 inch socket and the 100m has a 3.5mm. Both Korg DAC's have crystal clear sound with no veil whatsoever. I do not use the Korg software, only the Windows ASIO driver. The Korg sofware is slow and cumbersome to use if you only want to play back music. I use JRiver as a DNLA db and player and the iPad to control it remotely. This yields excellent results, with natural and ultra-clear effortless sound. The clarity of the sound really comes to the fore without any sibilance or other artifacts. Both run super cool and use very little power. I have also found that it is not fussy at all about usb cables, any half decent cable will do. It also does not produce dropouts or pitch changes like the Mojo. The M-DAC simply does not sound natural, does not matter which filter you use. With the Korg, no filters required, it just sounds awesome as-is. I use all 3 of mine normally as stand-alone dacs and use the line-out ports. I seldom use headphones, but they do a good job with them too. These dacs are not well marketed, like the Mojo or the M-DAC, real pity since a lot of people are missing out on this excellent product.Read full review

It's a not-quite-audiophile-grade DAC. For $125, that's good value.Lightweight, good visuals, basic-only features, nice sound.

Unless you have a really good hearing for the difference between DSD playback and Flac or just 320 mp3. You can use this one to play your DSD files. Otherwise just stick to downsampling to PCM. You cannot hear the difference. just over rated for DSD playback not really needed

It seems to make my i-tune files sound better. I like the software app that came with it, as well.
