Great all around sound, particularly once burned in. Bit more bass then the S4i they replaced. Smaller and lighter weight as well. Only negative is the placement of the controls - on the left side wire vs. on the main wire on the S4i. Probably a better set up for phone calls, but I find it gets caught on the collar of my shirt and/or coat and pulls the ear bud out on that side. Have to take care to make sure it hangs free at all times, which is a bit of an annoyance.

The sound is very good. I am told they are the best ear buds I have used while driving from people on the receiving end. The bad side is they don't stay put for anything remotely active. Running in them is out of the question without constantly pushing them back in place. I tried all 4 ear pieces and they all fail. So if you plan to have no activity while using them, they are great. Running? Forget it.

I got these earbuds to replace the stock ones that came with my Samsung Galaxy s5 active because I wanted better sound quality and durability. I have other headphones but I wanted something more portable and less noticeable than over ear headphones. These definitely deliver in quality and portability and even came with a nice case and different sized tip replacements. The oval shaped tips fit better than the spherical ones that you usually see. The only reason that I didn't give this the full five stars is that the volume control does not work with the Samsung Galaxy s5 active. I read in an online question board that they worked together, and the play/pause function does, but the volume control doesn't. I know they are designed for ios devices so I wasn't surprised that they didn't work. I still use them all the time because they have good sound quality and are well built. Over all I would recommend them.Read full review

Amazing sound for entry level or the more experienced listener. I’ve been a musician for almost 40yrs & I have extensive experience with quality headphones both for studio and my own private listening. I’ve always been a “Over-the-Ear”, type headphone preferring Sony Studio Pros, Sennheiser & Audio-Technica. Lately I’ve been experimenting with bass+ earbuds as my ears are becoming more sensitive to products that cannot control the high end/treble end of the spectrum. I truly prefer true sound as in monitors like the Sony’s mentioned above. However my adult children prefer earbuds & as I came to enjoy their lightweight and more portability design I quickly found not all earbuds are created equal. As an audiophile I felt it important to review these for the casual listener and/or more experienced. Of course you will get unmatched quality & sound with the very expensive but this review is for those more budget minded or those that simply lack the bank for the high end “Holy Grails”, provides. I can honestly say that from Beats (which wouldn’t make my top 10), to Sony, Panasonic, Skullcandy, Bose, FocalS and Sennheiser; that the Klipsch Reference R6i’s will do anything from Acoustic to R&B, 80’s Metal, Pop, Country, Rap and Bluegrass. Very warm sound through the spectrum with adding just enough bass to create a rich mid-range and keeping the treble & ultra highs from quivering to give you, the listener a great sound all the while minimizing ear fatigue. This is just an aging musicians opinion but after all the years of experience I can only wholeheartedly endorse the quality and great sound you’ll get from the Klipsch R6i’s. Enjoy!Read full review

I'm upgrading from a tired pair of klipsch s4 which I love, the r6i offers similar sound but with a lot more bass (not neutral) slightly more refined highs and slightly more recessed mids, it's got a much more noticeable V shaped sound while still maintaining a pleasant accurate sound they're not as neutral but they don't have an insane V shaped frequency response either think of it as a more refined s4's. Some people will like the more "fun" sound while others will prefer the more "neutral" sound of the s4's, to me its a good balance between flat sound and warm energetic sound. As for build quality these are built far better than the s4's they're lighter, sleeker, and feel much sturdier and durable, the cable is a flat tangle free cable and the mic sounds fine, they're quite comfortable as well. If you're looking to upgrade from the klipsch s4's or I'd say if you don't mind more bass then do it cause these offer a similar more refined sound (similar minus the extra bass) and if you're looking for a decently priced set of buds these are excellent with exceptional sound quality and premium feel and looks.Read full review
