This is one movie that really interested me. Where this man was trying to kill the bears only stopped by this Indian taking the bullets from the man's gun. I liked this movie immensely.

Disney made this picture based on the book The Biography of a Grizly written by Ernest Thompson Seton in 1899 - It takes place in a part of Wyoming that I am very familiar with ( Lower Piney to the Greybull Range ) and have many good memories of. Book is excellent - movie does a decent job but does not carry out the story in the book to its end - some of the book especially the ending not suited for Disney in the 1950-60s'. Book has no human characters in it - Disney does but has to to make a story.
It's a good older disney movie.

I give this 4 stars because it's an old favorite of mine, and based on an interesting book. But then, I'm a fan of bears, so almost anything to do with bears I tend to find enjoyable. Anyone who appreciates an oldie (and who also happens to have a love for bears at the same time) will enjoy this movie. There's something nice and peaceful about watching it, and it's one of my "go-to" movies when I need a little cheering up.
Family show. No sex or cussing. Great scenery.
