I go through a lot of the these butt connectors. They work great for small gauge wire. I had to really put the connectors to use this year, because the grey squirrels decided to chew the bulbs and wires on my outdoor Christmas Tree lights. They also did the same to our security camera wiring. I had to make many repairs.....

Connectors of this quality plus a good set of sta-kon crimpers and your car stereo or alarm install has a very good chance of being trouble free for the life of the car. Crimpers that just smash the connector flat are useless. You want the crimper to "dent" one side, cupping the other and to have a wide bite. Google sta-kon crimper and get the simple version that looks like wire cutters with teeth. Ok... now I'm giving a lesson, so I'll continue: Strip off just ~1/4" of the jacket and twist the wire strands tightly before inserting and making the crimp. Then crimp with force just inside the edge of this connector's metal barrel, so as not to pinch the wire with the edge of the barrel, avoiding a tight, sharp edge that will fatigue your wire over time. Done correctly this is as good as a solder joint without having to use electrical tape that, in a hot car, will lose it's grip and cover the wire with black slime. These are 3M quality. Way better than the car-parts store junk. I'm an ex-car electronics installer and not at a hack place like Best Buy. I've seen a lot of scary crap in cars. Good connectors are a good start to a great install. These are a fine example of good quality.Read full review

Quality, true-to-size product, packaged in a handy reusable storage bag. Crimps evenly, without plastic sleeve cracking. Excellent value for the quantity. Beats the box store offerings of 10 packs for about the same price. I also purchased additional wire sizes of this product in the same large quantities.

I've been working in mobile electronics for over a decade and I prefer 3M products when I can get them but you have to take a chance now and then. This one was worth it. Very comparable level of quality I have come to expect from name brand connectors, but at a fraction of the cost.

These connectors are of good quality and I am pleased with the ease of use. Used a dozen or so for a retro fit of an aftermarket car stereo into my Cherokee, worked great and I have like 85 or so left......hmmmmm. I would have paid more for fewer ,comparatively speaking, if purchased at a store. Good deal.
