The HTC vivid is pretty decent! I am decently happy with the phone. The things I can say about this HTC vivid : I have not had any issues with call drop outs ect. As far as Im concerned, this part is no problem. I get annoyed however when I want to hang up, but the screen is black and cant hang up until I press a button to light up the screen so I can hang up! Now for the internnet, I been having issues with the internet working. It keeps freezing when brousing. Wifi or phone, doesnt matter. It has connection issues. I try clearing cookies etc. Still the same. But when I turn off the phone and restart it, its then OK for a while, then it goes back to disconnected. VERY ANNOYING. This phone is NOT user friendly. Not by ANY means. As of 3 months of ownig this phone, I still cant fiqure out how to use the phone book! And the settings section is very difficult to use. Gets me upset! What up wit dat? The phone gives me HASSLE for just a SIMPLE thing I want to acomplish! How to block a call, how to remove a file etc etc. As for other things. The apps scroll up and down. Not sideways. Doesnt bother me. The speaker phone volume is TOO LOW! And the other thing I dont like, the battery cover slides off way to easy. And tends to fall off time after time! Also the whole phone looks pretty nice, but not all that professional looking, unlike the iphone 4 is. The iphone 4 the back of that phone is glossy and shiny and has the nice metal band around it. Going back to the vivid. its just plain cheap looking metal on back. Oh also this phone is sort of heavy too. More GOOD things: The vivid has a micro SD slot which is a great thing. But need to remove battery to axcess it. MP3 player is decently easy to use. Although I had not firqured out how to play songs directly by clicking a file in folders. That battery last about 2 days of regular use between charges. The BEST part: The camera is excellent! Very good quality videos and pictures and with a flash. The camera is my favorite part of this phone. The video camera has a wider angle view compared to the Samsung Galaxy S2 and iphone 4 anyway. Which is nice, cause I can fit a lot of items into the view. Never had complaints about the quality. BUT and there is a but. It records the sound really BAD! Its like if the voices are spoken loud. Sounds little distorted. Thats the only thing. So all in all, what I think of this HTC vivid (att)? Its OK, not bad! The part that takes away much of the points is the internet not working, but its probably MORE cause it gives me hassle to do a simple task! If it wasnt for the camera on this vivid being awesome, I would have switched phones already! I would not recommend this vivid unless you are a computer wiz! UPDATE! As of 3-17-13 Had the vivid for more than a year! The internet is NO problem anymore, since doing a major update of software. So how I still like the vivid? I am still happy with it! Does it's job really well. Very reliable, fast, no breaks downs! Not like the home button on the iphones! I still LOVE the camera! It takes very good pics and videos with flash! And really like the memory card slot. I put in a 32gb micro, no problem! My wife likes to use my phone because of the bigger screen. This vivid as far as I know, DOES IT'S JOB WELL! The thing I DISLIKE about the vivid: The big offender is speaker volume is WAY TOO LOW! And the video camera records the voice REALLY BAD! That's all I can think of! Occasionally have to restart itRead full review

It is a nice phone, large display, and plenty of processing power. Smooth operation. The battery life isn't the best, but none of the HTC phones seem to have a great battery life. I can make it all day with the sync turned off, and very lite use. Moderate use requires the cable. Solid high end phone with lots of features
The phone is real nice. Despite all the reviews in Youtube from different companies. The phone works great, its incredible fast and it is the last phone with the freedom you need to add extra memory since the new HTC models doesn't have the micro SD slot and not removable battery (or back cover). This phone comes already unlocked from the provider and you don't have to introduce an unlocking code. It comes on its original box (AT&T), it's brand new but the only issue is that phone doesn't come with earphones. It's not big issue at all, bur it would be great if HTC could include the earphones with microphone. The battery duration might be an issue, so I recommend to buy: - Anker External Battery Pack
This is my second Vivid, my first quit working after a long battle with a shattered screen and eventually the glass shards started making the phone malfunction. So, as soon as this happened I looked into my other options as far as smartphones, preferably Android, as I have not been pleased with my past iPhone experience. I thought maybe I could improve slightly from the Vivid, even as much as I loved it... I checked out my options thoroughly and discovered there was nothing I didn't like about the Vivid and since I was already familiar with it's operating system, I decided to purchase another one. The Vivid is a fabulous phone for my needs which are basic internet browsing for a few hours a day and occasional game-playing; the only thing that dissapoints me is the battery life, but I was told this is very common among all smartphones, so to solve that issue I just purchased an extra home charger and car charger to be sure I'm covered no matter where I am. The features of this phone are so cool and easy to learn, don't think I would be happier with anything else. In my search I did discover that the HTC One is very similar, but it just appeared to be a slightly updated version of this AND cost quite a bit more, so it wasn't worth it to me. Hope this helps and your experience with the Vivid is as awesome as mine has been!Read full review
