I have found that the best form of education is through reading. While the majority of this nation claims to be Christian, are we really living the life? Have we really been educated in our faith through our churches? I have to say I went through religious instruction as most have, but I have found that the churches have really failed in teaching the books of the Psalms, Proverbs and Romans. After 9/11 I started to search for answers because in the spring of that year I returned to my faith. One of the most compelling books I have ever read is "Original Intent" by David Barton. I encourage everyone to read it. Most noteworthy was a reference made about Noah Webster. When instructing his students he said, "When you become entitled to exercise the right of voting for public officers, let it be impressed on your mind that God commands you to choose for rulers just men who will rule in the fear of God." So, I want to read Tony's book in comparison. He too, is right on message. While we can blame the government for the way that it is, have we heeded the warning of Mr. Webster? For it is "WE THE PEOPLE" who are the failure for the state of our country. I really wonder how many of this majority of Christians have read the Bible? It is one thing to read it but another to understand it. I have found a pathway whereby I am able to better understand the teaching of my faith. Believe it or not, I have found one on one of our national television networks. I just invite others to seek this one out and start taking an interest in the Holy word for I have found it to be life changing. We must seek God's wisdom for I believe it is our only hope. This country has continually taken the Lord out of our daily living and look what this country has become? So, this book by Tony Evans is a most read as well.Read full review
