I have been looking for an auto charge unit for awhile and the sale prices I found on eBay finally convinced me to buy. My first impression was a lot of plastic. Set up easy and instructions fine, including a CD. Setting charge weights was easy and intuitive. On using it I found it continually overcharged on the normal speed setting but low works fine. I especially like it starting the next load automatically while you get the next case ready. Weights were very accurate and I measured using another electronic scale and a balance beam. This proved out as my chronograph readings led to standard deviations less than I had with a manual system. 2 brushes also included which were appreciated. On the down side, changing powders proved time consuming a messy. The clear cylinder just drops in and the cap just sits on the tube as well. The drain on the side is next to useless. It takes both hands to hole the cylinder on while you attempt to empty the powder chamber. A lot remains and takes while to get it out. It would be a fairly easy task to have the cylinder fixed and a better way to empty especially when changing powders. I give it 4 stars for the accuracy and ease of use, not to mention price. 3 for design and extensive use of thermoplastic.Read full review

Watch the dvd! It is very helpful. The instruction manual is well written but, again, the dvd is excellent and will help with tweaking. You need to practice a little to get proficient, but well worth the effort. Did I mention, "Watch the dvd?" A level bench is important. This device is sensitive so don't have items jarring your work area. Follow all suggestions in manual. Calibrating before each use is important and is easy to do. (I should probably buy two of them but I do have financial limits). It makes a cool robot-humming sound when it dispenses powder. Definitely saves a lot of time. You can back check your powder weights with a separate scale if you wish but I feel pretty confident with my loads.

I am so glad I purchased this! I love it! The only con that I have found is you will need to set the speed to low. If you have it set on med or high it will go over the grain amount that you set. If I have it set to low for the speed then it hits the correct amount 99% of the time. Its a little slower but well worth it. It is very user friendly and easy to use. And very easy to set up and get going. I would definitely recommend this to others. I'm glad I bought it for sure.

Works great. Watched a vid on youtube and it explains it all. Hornady needs to be a little more descriptive in their operating manual. For example, they don't tell you that you have to tilt the unit to drain the powder out of it as well as explaining that the tube is full of powder and will spill if you're not carefull. I use a vacuum cleaner to get any residual powder removed. Otherwise it's a great tool and reduces your reloading time by 75% versus a beam scale.

I read numerous reviews before buying this powder measure. I own mostly Hornday equipment and wanted to stay RED if possible. I've now loaded 500 rounds of 6.5 Grendel using it and LOVE it. In 500 rounds I probably had 20 over charge loads. No big deal though the alarm beeps the light turns red and you just dump it back in the hopper and hit the cancel button and it starts over. Some of my friends paid 2 to 3 times more money for brand XXXX and others. I asked them how many over charges they would have in the same round count and they said it depended on the powder. Both said that what I experienced was about what they would expect from theirs. LOVE THIS THING
