If you are a long time user of an analog scope it may take a little time to get used to a digital scope. The math and analysis capabilities provide a wealth info on the signal you are examining. Its a great value for the amateur or DIY electronics enthusiast. The 8 bit sampling depth leaves the sampled signal just a bit fuzzy, but you can use the averaging mode to smooth this out.(That's the difference between analog and digital).

After only having analog scopes for the last 45 years, this is quite a change for my electronics hobby, its wonderful having all the info about the waveform right on the screen with it, the controls are smooth and intuitive, and the best part is that it is half the price of a 20 year old Tek or HP.

This scope works very well for my purposes...more than happy with it. Really like the software that allows a computer to work with the scope and the ability to use a thumb drive to store waveforms on the front panel. Doesn't take up the space or weigh as much as my older scopes do. Haven't found any things I dont like about this unit.

The scope works great, plenty of functions, and easy to operate. Mine came with the European power cord though. It’s a standard equipment cord and I had plenty. I use it 8 hours a day monitoring my transmitter. After about 2 weeks, the fan started making noise for about 3 minutes after turning it on, then it settles down. That’s why not 5 stars.

My core education is in electronics but ended up in IT. Got back to my core and started repairing my own home electronics. I needed a scope but didn't have a big budget. This unit is great for the amount of the investment, I'd recommend this to anyone getting started in electronics.
